"Let's start showing the world what it looks like to have God on the frontlines, what it means to run with perseverance, clothed with the armor of God!"
As you read this, minute by minute, people all over the entire world are being affected by this virus. The media is doing everything they can to make sure we are living in fear of the numbers rising and the deaths multiplying. But what would happen if we looked at the Bible as much as the news? If we talked about Jesus just as much as Covid-19?
For many of you, your church doors are now closed. But I want to inform you that the church never closes. The church is alive now more than ever. Because my Bible says, "where two or three are gathered, He is there" - Matthew 18:20
They can take away the building, but they cannot take away the cross!
Our God is a waymaker. Jesus took five loaves of bread and two fish and fed 5,000 people. He can turn 133,000 cases of Covid-19 to 133,000 salvations without a blink of an eye.
He is not worried about the numbers on the news; He is not surprised by this virus.
He is just after the heart of His children; He will leave the 99 to find the one.
This is not to say you shouldn't submit to your authority and follow what our leaders are telling us to do to take action. This is about you setting the example for the ones around you, that you can take action with peace and not fear.
We are not slaves to COVID-19, we are not prisoners to sickness.
We are marked, protected, and healed by the blood of Jesus.
But there are people around you right now that don't know the gospel. They are stuck in their homes in complete fear and panic all across the globe.
So now more than ever, it's time for the church to rise up with prayer and confidence in our God. That we will choose to walk in wisdom. We will show the world what it means to have peace that surpasses all understanding.
We don't have to focus on the numbers.
We need to switch our focus to the one who can bring eternal healing to every number.
We have no idea what God is doing around the globe right now. But think about if the gospel was spreading faster than the virus. If the number of people being tested positive didn't compare to the number of people giving their life to God in a desperate time of need.
God did not bring Goliath to show David how big he was; He brought David to show Goliath how big his faith was. So in the face of the giant in front of us, would you put on your armor of God and stand up in complete trust that sickness has to flee at the mention of His name.
Maybe your not working or getting an income, or perhaps you don't know what to do with your kids right now or how to handle it and explain to them whats going on.
Know that God doesn't leave you. That when you are marked by the blood of Jesus, the virus has to pass over you. It has to bow to the name of Jesus, and fear doesn't get to have a place over your home, your workplace, your children, or your family!
No weapon formed against you will prosper. - Isaiah 54:17
If God can bring dead to life, he can restore your health to healed, broke to blessed, fear to faith, and trade every pain for His perfect peace.
Let's start showing the world what it looks like to have God on the frontlines, what it means to run with perseverance, clothed with the armor of God!
Would you pray with me?
"1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, "The Lord is my refuge,"
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation."
In Jesus name!
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
